SAMPE Journal paper

The HIVOCOMP project was featured in the recent edition of SAMPE Journal, a publication of the prestigious international Society of Advanced Materials and Processes.

The paper is titled "Advanced Materials Enabling High-Volume Road Transport Applications of Lightweight Structural Composite Parts" and features a summary of the project's ambitions and latest achievements, including the approach it has taken for benchmarking the materials and demonstrators lifecycle impact and cost.

Lightweighting potential of the HIVOCOMP materials

The paper was jointly co-authored by HIVOCOMP project partners from KU Leuven, EPFL, and Leeds universities from the academic side and VW, Huntsman Polyurethanes, ESI and Bax & Willems Consulting Venturing from the industry side. The mix of academic and industry partners is characteristic of the close collaboration that has successfully driven the project progress throughout its 3,5 year duration.
